TOPIC: “Welcome to the FibreOp Revolution - using Fibre To The Home”
Speaker: David Burpee, Senior Architect of Broadband at Bell Aliant
Event Overview In this session David will speak about the Bell Aliant announcement on July 7th, 2009 that the cities of Fredericton and Saint John, NB will be the first cities in Canada to be fully covered using Fibre To The Home (FTTH) technology. The FTTH service suite is called FibreOP(tm). The presentation will provide information on the Services, Architecture and components of the Bell Aliant's FibreOP(tm) initiative.
David Burpee, P.Eng, - Biography
David Burpee, P.Eng, is a Senior Architect of Broadband in the Access Network and Broadband Planning Department at Bell Aliant. Currently, David is the Lead Architect for Bell Aliant's FibreOP(tm) Service - a Fibre to the Home (FTTH) service suite that is being deployed in Fredericton and Saint John. David provides Service and Technology architecture direction for Bell Aliant's Broadband FTTH deployment and the key service areas of High Speed Internet and IPTV.
